Mary J. (Jackie) Boyd, 63, of Ft. Thomas, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. Jackie was born January 26, 1952 in Stone Mountain, GA, to Jana and Jack Shumate.
Jackie, for many years, owned JB’s Restaurant. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and being the most loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother ever. Jackie was loved by all that knew her.
On July 21, 2001, Jackie married the love of her life, David Boyd. She was the foundation and rock of the whole family.
Jackie is survived by; her husband, David Boyd, children; Michael Shumate, Teresa Kukrall, William Clendenin, Aaron Clendenin, Cassandra Shumate Boyd, Steven Boyd, Michael Boyd, Denise Marshall and Julie Boyd, siblings; Misty (Larry) Briggs, Sherry Kownack, Margaret Shumate and Shirley (Chris) Stinner, as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jana and Jack Shumate, brother; Bruce and one aunt; Opal.
A funeral service for Jackie will be on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Safford at 1109 S. 7th Ave in Safford.
