Marlin Jay Boswell

Marlin Jay Boswell, 74, of Safford, passed into eternity on July 15, 2018.  He was born in Safford on October 11, 1943 to Arthur Elmer Boswell and Clarcia Anna Lee Cluster Boswell.

He was raised in the Gila Valley and spent most of his life here.  After Graduating from Pima High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1961 and served with distinction until he was honorably discharged in 1967. Marlin married his sweetheart Susie Jane Smith in Safford on March 17, 1967 and together they raised 5 wonderful children.

Marlin worked as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic and thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved fishing and visiting yard sales all around the valley.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will always be remembered as always caring for and serving others.

He is survived by his wife Susie Jane Smith Boswell, his children Brad (Cheryl) Boswell, Marla (Troy) Hoyt, Jeff Boswell, Becky (Justin) Cluff and Quincy (Gloria) Boswell, his siblings LaFawn Boswell, Larry Boswell and Joyce Wickhorst, 28 grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Elmer Boswell and Clarcia Anna Lee Cluster Boswell and his sister-in-law Ann DeSpain.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 23rdbeginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Safford Stake Center with Bishop Floyd Nuttall officiating.  Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery.
