SAFFORD – Late Monday night, police officers were called to a store in reference to a Native American man that took items from the store without paying. An officer contacted the man walking in the area of 8th Avenue and Main Street. When another officer arrived to the area, he identified the man as Harrison Talgo. Talgo had a case of Budweiser and a package of jerky that he said he stole from the gas station. He stated that he wanted to go to jail. The officer placed Talgo in handcuffs and was told he was under arrest for shoplifting. The stolen items were returned and Talgo was booked into the jail.
