Louise Flower Villarreal, 92, of Safford, passed away October 7, 2015. Louise was born November 4, 1922 in Grinnel, Iowa to Oscar and Elsie Sawyer.
Louise earned her Bachelor’s Degree from ASU and was a member of Delta Kappa Gama. She then went on to teach 1st grade in both Solomon and Safford schools.
She loved to create things with her hands and her hobbies reflect just that: lapidary, stained glass, silversmith and jewelry making.
Louise is survived by her daughters; Carole (Bob) Hampton of Safford and Beverly Lyons of Kingsport, Tennessee, sister, Jean Bagnoli, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and fourteen great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Elsie Litka Sawyer, husband, Raul Villarreal, and siblings; Robert Sawyer and Phyliss Stephonic.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The family asks that donations may be made to the Graham County Animal Shelter.
