Lane restrictions scheduled on Interstate 10 in San Simon beginning Sept. 3

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises commercial vehicles to plan ahead for lane restrictions on Interstate 10 at the San Simon Port of Entry beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Contractors are scheduled to pour new asphalt and install underground sensors and scales. The work is part of a statewide truck screening improvement project.

The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, and ending the evening of Friday. Sept. 13:

  • I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between milepost 382 and San Simon POE (milepost 383).
  • A 12-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
