James McNeal Buckley, known as Jim, a resident of Safford, went home to the Lord February 4, 2017, from complications due to stomach cancer.
Jim was a native of Phoenix, born July 30, 1960, the youngest son of John F. Buckley and Mary Ann (McNeal) Buckley.
Jim was an Eagle Scout and First Class Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard. His education went all the way to a Master’s Degree in Finance Acquisitions and Procurement Management. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jim is survived by: his wife, Vicky (Nelson) Buckley; three sons, Mathew M., Jacob L. (Julie) and Aaron M.; two grandchildren, Logan M. and Gwendolyn Rose; and two brothers, John P. Buckley and Michael Buckley.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be conducted today, Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 3:00 p.m., at The River Community Church 1726 S. 1st Ave (Hwy 191) Safford, AZ. Instead of floral arrangements, the family would prefer a love gift of remembrance to help with any expenses. Arrangements are entrusted to Vining Funeral Home.
