It’s all coronavirus’ fault

SAFFORD – Local law enforcement has to deal with a new facet of the COVID-19 pandemic – people claiming the coronavirus is the reason for their actions.

On March 24, Safford Police officers dealt with a fight between two cousins one of the cousins didn’t want his elderly parents potentially exposed to the virus during a visit by the other cousin.

A woman was cited March 25 for allowing her dogs to roam free and her husband complained about having to pay the citation and the fees to retrieve the dogs from the Graham County Animal Control facility. The justification for his complaint was that due the coronavirus, work hours were being reduced.
