Eva Reyes Merino, 55, of Tucson, passed into eternity on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was born August 14, 1963 in Morenci, Arizona to Mike G. Merino, Jr. & Emma Jean Reyes Merino. Eva was joined later by her little sister, Jacque.
Eva liked to listen to Spanish music and loved to dance. She especially loved her “Grandpa Reyes”. When she heard his voice, she’d come running from wherever she was. Eva was a very loving person and always happy, even with her disability.
She is survived by her father Mike (Dianne) Merino, Jr., and her loving sister Jacque Ortiz, nephew Michael (Brook) Ortiz, Niece Nicole Ortiz.
Eva is preceded in death by her mother Emma Jean Merino, her grandparents Manuel & Frances Reyes and Mike Merino, Sr. and Eva Rodriguez.
Recitation of the Rosary will take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Safford with Reverend Father Nicodemus Shaghel, VC as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery following services.
