THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College’s Starlight Strings Concert Series is preparing its annual Starlight Strings Concert. This year’s program, entitled Chamber Music and Friends, will blend a mix of its traditional strings showcase pieces with wind soloists including the oboe, bassoon, and flute. The concert will also feature a harpsichord solo.

“We love this concert that we consider our gift to classical music lovers throughout the Gila Valley,” said EAC orchestra director and conductor for the concert Franklin Alvarez. “It’s our first official presentation of the school year and the energy and anticipation can be felt by everyone in attendance.”

The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m., in the Activities Center – Lee Little Theatre. Admission is free.
