EAC to offer short-term Introduction to Robotics course

THATCHER — This spring, Eastern Arizona College’s Physics Department will offer a short term course in robotics. The course, PHY298F, Introduction to Robotics, section #7019, will familiarize students with mechanical assembly, electrical connections and robot programming.

“Robots are part of modern life,” said class instructor, John Ratje. “Anything that is dirty or dangerous can be done by robots now.”

The class will meet in MS-109 at EAC’s Thatcher Campus on March 25 and April 1, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., as well as April 8, from 9 a.m. until Noon. This one-credit class is transferable as an elective credit to any university in Arizona.
