The Greenlee Community Fund collects charitable donations to serve the broad array of needs within Greenlee County. It is an endowment, with a portion of the returns awarded as grants to local causes every year. Because the principal is invested, the fund continues to grow, creating perpetual financial support for the communities of Greenlee County.

Tickets are on sale now!
Please call Colin Shannon at 520-505-3678 to purchase your ticket, or check out the event’s Facebook Page.

Why Support Greenlee Gives Back?

The purpose of Greenlee Gives Back is to raise money for the Greenlee County Community Fund. This is an endowed (forever) fund from which investment earnings go back into the community via annual grants to local nonprofits. Grants are competitive and selected each year by a local committee. The current value of this fund is approximately $47,000 and the distribution rate in 2018 was 4.25% equaling $1,200 in awarded grants. There are much greater community needs, but to be able to award more in grants we need to increase the assets of the Fund. Additional purposes for this event are to share the stories of how our grants impact local residents and to increase awareness of our local affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation. Last year we had a great inaugural event and fun was had by all. We were able to add over $11,000 into the Greenlee Community Fund. We learned a great deal last year, and we know this event will be even better.
