Cash for College Event at EAC

THATCHER, Ariz.— Do you need cash for college? Eastern Arizona College, in conjunction with the Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley, and the United Way of Graham & Greenlee Counties invite the public to attend a free event that will provide information about college scholarships and financial aid, including Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA).

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 4:00 -7:00 p.m., in EAC’s Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center.

High school students and college students will learn about opportunities for scholarships and other ways to fund their education at this event.

Earn to Learn is a revolutionary “savings to scholarship” program that empowers low- to moderate-income students in Arizona to successfully complete college through matched-savings scholarships, financial capability education, and success coaching. Representatives will be available to explain the program.

A FAFSA workshop will be available for anyone interested in learning how to navigate the system.

Attendees will be eligible for a raffle of one of two Apple iPads, provided by the United Way Scholarship Fund, and one of four EAC Book Scholarships.
