Betty Jean Clark

Betty Jean Clark, 67, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, March 5, 2016. Betty was born March 17, 1948 in Newport, Arkansas, to Raymond and Wanda Christopher. She spent her formative years in the cotton fields of central Arizona, and spent her best working years working on an egg ranch in her youth.
Betty was talented at many crafts often sewing her children’s and husband’s clothes, crocheting baby clothes and blankets, quilting many elaborate quilt designs, gardening, and hosting extravagant and delicious family dinners.
Betty’s true passion in life was her family. She dedicated her life to caring for, and raising her family alongside her loving husband Steven Clark. Forever the quintessential home-maker Betty dedicated her every waking hour to bettering the lives of her small family in any way she could. Her roles in the lives of her children were as many as they were varied. She was a loving confidant, and a stern source of correction, a friend, a guardian, caregiver, and a source of unending comfort, care, and love.
Betty had throughout her life four children Roger Rojo, Gary Clark, Christopher Clark, and Dale Clark. When her children all began to start their own families Betty chose to again increase her family, this time by adopting “a four legged fuzzy son” by the name of Shadow.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Clark; sons, Gary, Chris, and Dale; twin sister, Kathleen; brother, Raymond Jr.; and faithful dog, Shadow.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Wanda Christopher; brother, Laurence; sisters, Linda and Judy, and son; Roger.
A devout believer in the Pentecostal denomination of Christianity, Betty will have her viewing at McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel with the viewing beginning at 9:00 AM and Graveside services starting at 10:00 AM in the Safford Cemetery on Monday, March 14, 2016. Services are under the direction of McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel & Gila Valley Crematory. Online condolences may be extended at www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com.
