Ana Lopez

Ana Lopez, of Clifton, entered into the arms of our Lord early Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018, from causes incident to age. She was 102.

Ana was born July 26, 1915, in Clifton, Arizona, to Candelario and Serapia Castillo Lopez. She was one of seven children born to this union. Ana grew up in and called Clifton her home. She was a housekeeper in the hospitality industry and worked hard for her employer.

Ana was not married and had no children of her own. She was able, however, to help raise and nurture numerous nephews, nieces and cousins that she considered her own. Her love for family was undaunting and enjoyed every opportunity to be embraced by her loved ones. Family is what was important to Ana.

Ana was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton. She had a firm faith in a loving God and in her Lord and Savior, Jesus. What a wonderful day for Ana when she was able to return home to the loving arms of our Lord and embrace her loved ones once again.

Ana leaves to mourn: numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Candelario and Serapia; and her siblings, Julian, Hilario “Lalo,” Florentina “Tina,” Juana, Juana “Lakita” and Carolina.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Ana will be celebrated Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Rev. Robert Rodriguez. Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A rosary will be prayed Saturday morning, July 7, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., also at the church.
