5th Wheel burns in Little Hollywood Friday morning

Safford Fire was called to Little Hollywood, east of Safford, at around 9:11am, Friday morning, in response to a 5th Wheel Mobile Home that was fully engulfed in flames and was burning on State Land.

The 5th wheel was occupied by a 29-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, who were both from the Tucson area.

A local investigation into the cause of the blaze found that it appeared that the two people inside the 5th-wheel had been smoking cigarettes and were tossing the butts outside the 5th-wheel.  One of the cigarettes was not completely extinguished and caught the weeds outside on fire.

According to a press release from the Graham County Sheriff’s Office no one was injured and they did not know the estimated damage to the 5th Wheel.
