THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College’s Fine Arts Department invites the community to a faculty piano recital on Monday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m., in the Activities Center – Lee Little Theater.

Chase Moore, EAC associate professor of music, will debut his first solo recital. He will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Brahms, Rachmaninov, Chopin and Cowell. This recital will include prepared piano works where the performer actually plucks the strings of the piano and other 20th century techniques.

Moore joined EAC’s full-time faculty in Fall 2016, arriving from his home town of Richmond, Kentucky. He completed his Master of Music in Choral Conducting in May of 2015, and his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, both at Eastern Kentucky University. He has had several teaching and teaching-related experiences, including adjunct professor of music, staff accompanist, instructor in the piano lab at Eastern Kentucky University and professor of music at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. At Eastern Kentucky, Moore was a graduate assistant in the choral department conducting the Chamber Singers, the University Singers, and the Concert Choir.

“I am looking so forward to performing in my first faculty recital at EAC,” Moore said. “I hope it’s the first of many and that the community will come and share in the love of this beautiful music!”

Admission to the recital is free. Contact Moore with any questions at (928) 428-8467 or chase.moore@eac.edu.
